I can never remember the name and author of the books i read by strangely enough i do remember when i read the book. This is my way of downsizing - I don't have to keep the book to remember reading it.

The Age of Miracles - Karen Thompson Walker

A story about a how a young girl survives the changes when the earth starts to rotate slower and slower so much so that days and nights last for weeks.

This is a easy read and a nice tween story. I wish it would have had more scientific information about what would happen if the earth slowed down, but i still enjoyed the book.

The Dispossessed - Ursula K LeGuin

This book is about a society that breaks away from the mainstream society on earth and settles on the moon, does not have much communication with earth and then one mans journey to earth and what he finds.

I really liked the ideas in this book but i was kind of a long boring read.

Forever Peace - Joe Haldeman

This book is about a how humans find the secret to everlasting peace.

I am a Joe Halderman fan, i really liked Forever War and was not disappointed by this book.  The ideas were great, and i thought it had enough current issues mixed with future issues to make the book really interesting.  After all, science fiction  is just a setting, not a plot.

The Confession - John Grisham

Another entertaining Grisham book about a man on death row about to be executed for a crime he says he did not commit.

I have not read a John Grisham book in a while.  I devoured all his early stuff but was not impressed with Ford County or the one before it so stopped waiting for his books to be published.  This was was really good, and to my surprise had me bawling.  I have to admit, when i get really into a good book i sometimes cry, this is the first John Grisham novel that has really gotten to me.

Prelude to Foundation - Isaac Asimov

This book is about hidding from governement types when they think you have information that they want.

Not a good book. I wanted to read the foundation series starting at the beginning and in order. After this one i think i will skip to the 3 main Foundation series books. I really only finished this one because i loved Asimov as a kid.

The Reality Dysfunction - Peter F. Hamilton

I don't wan to give the main theme of the book away because it is really written well and it is worth the wait to find out.

Read this book on the advise of my brother, it is a great book, but i have to read the other two in the series to find out what happens. This is one of those books that once you start reading it you can't put it down.
